  1. Ok here is the thing. Maybe changing positions wasnt a good idea. We got outta there with a win and I'm over it. In the past we found ways to get outs when switching positions but today was a different story. I'm going to throw this out there, I think its time for the Doolies to step on the necks of any team we have down. We clearly can turn it on and off like a faucet, but thats not good softball.

We are clearly killing the ball and only have 3 guys hitting under .400. I mean everyone was stroking the ball in the first inning today then obviously we took our foot off the pedal. No big deal, we won, see you next week against the Fire, a perfect oppurtunity to step on someones throat.

Oh, and I'll bring the beers, I'll bring the beers!!!!

  2. i thought pull daddy was bringing beers...... And what are you trying to say about the guys batting under .400?

  3. yea gman, what r u trying to say about he three guys batting under .400?? wow, u just opened up the door on that one!!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. i will agree with Mr Ward on this one... Gotta hit these guys while they're down, lets see if we can put up 50 next week... and am i supposed to ask, What are you trying to say about the guys batting under .400??

  5. I love it Gman, time to put on the full court press. Pully is on beers next week G you got 6/20, Fathers Day.

And everyone just keep swing the bats... its not about averages only about Ws.

One more thing, all game I wasnt sure if I like the Opals or I didnt like them and now I'm I know.... I hate them. If they are lucky enough to see use in the playoffs then maybe they will be lucky enough to get hurled at if they still want to lean into pitches or even talk about taking a walk... No free bases vs the Doolies.

  6. I write this nice long post about stepping on guys necks and all toal seems to read is that I incorrectly said Ill bring the beers and that we got a couple guys under .400.

My original intentions were that as a team we have been killing the ball up and down the lineup and they guys under .400 know how they're swinging it and will come around. Not too worried about them. I mean even Teixeira has been struggling.

But now since you want me to go there I will. Get your average over .400. Come on its mens high arch softball. I love you guys but thats not acceptable if we want to take this league. Shouldnt be an easy out in our lineup. Lets figure it out!!!

  7. Now it may count as a W in the record books, but yesterday was an absolute disgrace and it felt like we lost when that one was over. In my opinion, the most embarrassing moment in doolies history occurred in the 5th inning when we had to switch back to everyone's starting positions MID INNNING after holding a 15 run lead. The thing that pisses me off the most was the fact that I had to hang out with those pieces of shit for an hour longer than I should have last night...

  8. for the record... the most embarrassing moment in doolies history prior to last night may be me getting picked off at first to end the game (year 2 i want to say).. any other nominees?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Probably when i struck out to end the game a few years ago with the winning runs on base... also, yesterday one of our players took himself outta the game mid inning, that was pretty embarrassing to me.

  10. That loss to the Sloppy Mitts in the playoffs was pretty embarassing where we were getting no hit for a while. Oh and I also struck out in the first inning that day. My only strike out to date but by far the worst at bat of all time.

  11. We had 11 guys on the field at the time so someone had to come out of the game.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yea, ur right.. sorry to come down on u so hard. I agree with G man, we got totally owned by the Mitts. This came at the heels of Jon Lemery who made a total mockery of The Doolies while he was running circles in the outfield chasing fly balls down!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm with G, too. That game with the Mitts has to be the low point in franchise history. We were down 16-0 in the 7th inning when they gave us what seemed to be a sympathy run.

To be fair, they were as good as we were bad that day.

  14. I think this whole league is terrible and anytime we lose to some of these drunk old assholes from the town of "Ramsey" we should really take a hard look at ourselves.... I mean we got great athletes from top to bottom on this team just look at our lineup. You give me a guy in the line up ill give you two great accomplishments they have had athletically...Lets continue our dominance verse the fire and lets run the table this year.... P.S I am out for the game on the 20th which is vs The Cruel Shoes which really really bothers me. I mean this is the team where it all started for most of our team. I was on the hill, nicky was taking balls off the chops and larry's at third and our whole team was at least 25 pounds lighter and we go smacked around by a pretty average Cruel Shoes team (also a nominee for a low point). Now back to the reason i am going to miss the game: Las Vegas Locos mini camp now how outrageous is a 4 day mini camp in the middle of July when your team does not have a game til mid September? This is just outrageous I was thinking about holding out of mini camp but if they decided to cut me i would not have much going on. P.S we drafted Michael Ray Garvin last week in the draft and he is bringing the power tower to Vegas.

  15. i could not disagree w u anymore... we DO NOT have great athletes on our team, we have basically just mastered the art of high arc softball. Now I am gonna challenge u, i want two great things about a kids HS athletic career. first things first, freshman sports do not count. u were challenged big guy, now deliver!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sad to see Big B will be missing the Cruel Shoes game...Looks like i'll pack the cooler a little lighter that day

    ReplyDelete
  17. check that, lets expand that to over a kids whole athletic career cause this can be very good

    ReplyDelete
  18. Good point Walk. I can't think of 1, let alone 2, "Great" athletic accomplishments for 2/3 of our lineup. That includes myself, obviously, but I'm excited to see you confident in the squad big guy. Write the list, check it twice, and post it. I think this will make me laugh. Two "Great" athletic accomplishments for each player on this team will not be easy. You got a heck of a memory though, Bri, and a whole lot of athletic experience with most of these guys so I think you can pull it off.

I'm gonna love it, I gotta be honest. I'm smiling already.
